ABOUT ME
In 2011, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at Cameron University. In August 2014, I finished my Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma. I worked as a staff writer at the Lawton Constitution for a year. As a staff writer I was responsible for religion and health pages of the newspaper. I also covered various issues of the community such as arts & entertainment, education, business, and profiles and human interest stories.
My other work experience includes work as a reporter for a newspaper and a social media internship for AresMediaNetwork. I wrote articles for the sites cheapoclothing and travelated that were parts of AresMediaNetwork. As a graduate student I have learned about research in social science and its implication in the everyday practice of journalism and mass communication.
For my Master's degree, I wrote my thesis on data journalism. I enjoy doing research on a variety of issues in journalism, media and mass communication. My dream is to be a professor and researcher in the field of journalism and strategic communication and conduct various researches on these areas of studies.
